Golden Cheese Garlic Toast: A Flavorful Brunch at Home

The Irresistible Charm of Butter, Cheese, and Garlic Toast

Sharing a delightful toast I made for brunch today! This humble creation came together using ingredients I found in my fridge. It’s a perfect blend of the rich creaminess of cheese, the savory aroma of butter, and the zesty kick of garlic! Paired with an Americano, it made for an absolutely wonderful brunch. The recipe is detailed to make it easy for anyone to follow.

Toast Ingredients
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 Tbsp butter (softened at room temperature)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • Mozzarella cheese (as desired)
  • 1 slice of processed cheese (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare about 2 tablespoons of butter. Take the butter out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature until it becomes soft and pliable. This will make it much easier to mix with other ingredients.

Step 2

In the softened butter, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and mix well. The garlic flavor will meld with the butter, adding depth and aroma.

Step 3

Add a pinch of salt to season the mixture. Salt plays a crucial role in enhancing the flavors of both butter and garlic.

Step 4

Finally, stir in 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes. Parsley adds a lovely color and a fresh, herbaceous note, making the toast look and taste even better.

Combine all the prepared ingredients into the butter and mix thoroughly to create the garlic butter spread. Ensure all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Now, evenly spread the garlic butter mixture onto both sides of the 2 slices of bread. Be sure to cover the edges well so that every part of the bread is deliciously toasted.

Step 7

Place one slice of bread, buttered-side down, onto a preheated pan over medium-low heat. Generously pile mozzarella cheese on top of this slice, leaving room for it to melt.

Optionally, add one or two slices of your favorite processed cheese on top of the mozzarella. This will add an extra layer of creamy, rich cheese flavor.

Step 9

Place the second slice of bread on top to cover the cheese. Make sure the buttered side of this top slice is facing upwards, ready to get toasted and become golden brown and even more fragrant.

Step 10

Once the bottom side is golden brown, carefully flip the toast. Cook the other side until it’s also golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and gooey. Continue flipping and toasting until both sides are perfectly crisp and golden. Your delicious Cheese Garlic Toast is ready to be enjoyed immediately!
