Cut the marshmallows into bite-sized pieces to help them melt more easily. Prepare a non-stick pan where you’ll set the nougat to cool. A well-coated pan will make it much easier to remove the candy later.

Using a non-stick pan is key to preventing the marshmallows from sticking. Place the coated frying pan over low heat and melt the unsalted butter slowly. Be careful not to burn the butter.

Once the butter is completely melted, keep the heat on low and add the cut marshmallows to the pan.
