Main Ingredients
- 200g radish (about 1/4 medium radish)
- 1/3 carrot
- 1/2 cucumber
Seasoning & Other Ingredients
- 1 tsp salt
- 100g canned tuna (drained)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2.5 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (crushed)
- 1 tsp salt
- 100g canned tuna (drained)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2.5 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (crushed)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wash the radish thoroughly, peel it, and then julienne it into strips about 0.3cm thick. Julienne the carrot and cucumber into similar thickness and lengths for a visually appealing and texturally pleasing salad.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the julienned radish, carrot, and cucumber. Add 1 tsp of salt and gently mix. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the vegetables to soften slightly and release some moisture, which helps maintain their crispness.
Step 3
Drain the oil from the canned tuna very thoroughly. You can press it with a spoon or by hand to remove as much oil as possible. This step is crucial for a clean and non-greasy flavor.
Step 4
Gently squeeze out the excess water from the salted vegetables. Transfer them to a bowl, add the drained tuna, 2 tsp sugar, 2 tsp vinegar, 2.5 Tbsp mayonnaise, and 1 Tbsp crushed toasted sesame seeds. Mix everything together gently with your hands until well combined. Sprinkle a little more sesame seeds on top for garnish. Your delicious Tuna Mayo Radish Salad is ready!
