Tender Chicken Breast and Cabbage Rolls

A delightful cabbage roll creation that combines lean chicken breast, nutritious tofu, and fiber-rich cabbage, perfect for maintaining your physique and health. Experience a delicious, savory flavor that’s satisfying and wholesome!
Ingredients
- 1 block Firm Tofu (firm or stewing tofu recommended)
- 300g Chicken Breast
- 10 Cabbage Leaves
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- Pinch of Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Grapeseed Oil (or other vegetable oil)
- Pinch of Black Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, carefully separate 10 cabbage leaves and wash them thoroughly under running water. Place the cabbage leaves in a steamer and steam for about 10-15 minutes until tender. If you don’t have a steamer, you can place the cabbage and about 100ml of water in a microwave-safe dish, cover it with plastic wrap, poke a few holes, and microwave for 5-6 minutes. This process will soften the cabbage, making it perfect for rolling.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken breast and finely mince it with a knife. If you prefer a bit more texture, you can mince it slightly coarser.
Step 3
Now, preheat a dry pan (without oil). Add the tofu to the pan and crumble it with a spatula as you stir-fry, until the moisture evaporates. It’s important to thoroughly cook the tofu until it becomes crumbly.
Step 4
Once most of the moisture has evaporated from the tofu, add 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic. Stir-fry together until the garlic becomes fragrant and golden.
Step 5
Add the minced chicken breast to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Stir and break up any clumps of chicken breast as it cooks. Continue stir-frying until the chicken breast is cooked through and the mixture is crumbly. (Tip: For a richer, more umami flavor, you can add a little oyster sauce or soy sauce while stir-frying.)
Step 6
Lay a steamed cabbage leaf flat. Place a generous portion of the cooked tofu and chicken mixture in the center.
Step 7
Fold the sides of the cabbage leaf inwards towards the center, similar to making a fresh spring roll, to prevent the filling from falling out. Then, roll it up tightly from top to bottom to create a neat roll. Finally, arrange the finished rolls on a plate and sprinkle with a pinch of black sesame seeds for a beautiful presentation.
