Base Ingredients
  • 4 Honey Hotteok (Korean sweet pancakes)
  • 1/2 paper cup Pizza Cheese (approx. 50g)
  • Pinch of Parsley Flakes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the vegetables and ham for the pizza toppings. Peel and wash the 1/4 onion, then finely chop it or dice it into small cubes. Dice the ham into bite-sized pieces, similar in size to the onion. Remove the pits from the black olives and thinly slice them.

Step 2

Lightly grease a small pan with cooking oil and preheat over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and diced ham to the pan. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and the ham is fragrant. Sautéing them beforehand removes excess moisture from the vegetables and enhances the ham’s flavor, making the pizza tastier.

Step 3

Add the tomato sauce (4 Tbsp), drained corn kernels (2 Tbsp), and sliced black olives to the sautéed onion and ham. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and cook for another 1-2 minutes. This step allows the toppings to meld together and form a delicious sauce. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 4

Now it’s time to use the honey hotteok as pizza crusts. Place the 4 honey hotteok onto a flat plate or baking sheet, ensuring they don’t touch each other. Be careful, they might be hot! Evenly spoon the prepared topping mixture over each honey hotteok. Finally, generously sprinkle the pizza cheese (1/2 paper cup) over the toppings. Using plenty of cheese makes it even more delicious.

Step 5

Place the prepared hotteok pizzas into a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 7 minutes. They are ready when the cheese is melted and golden brown, and the hotteok puff up slightly. Adjust the baking time based on your oven’s specifications. Once removed from the oven, sprinkle some parsley flakes over the pizzas for a beautiful presentation and a touch of aromatic freshness. Enjoy your delicious Honey Hotteok Pizza!
