Sweet & Refreshing Homemade Grape Ade
Easy Recipe for Making Grape Ade
As the weather gets warmer, let’s make a popular grape ade using fresh grapes. This recipe is perfect for a refreshing treat on a hot day!
Main Ingredients
- Fresh grapes (about half the amount you’d buy at the supermarket)
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- Sparkling water (about 1/2 soju cup)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the fresh grapes thoroughly and pat them dry. Place the grapes and a small amount of water into a blender and blend until smooth. Ensure the grape skins are broken down and the juice is extracted well.
Step 2
Transfer the blended grape mixture to a saucepan. Add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking to the bottom. Continue to cook until the sugar has dissolved and the grape concentrate has thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 3
Strain the thickened grape concentrate through a fine-mesh sieve to collect only the clear juice. This removes the skins and seeds, creating a smooth base for your ade. Gently press with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
Step 4
Now it’s time to enjoy your refreshing drink! Pour the prepared grape concentrate into a glass. Add about half a soju cup of cold sparkling water. Adjust the amount of sparkling water to your preference. For a beautiful presentation, you can garnish with a few fresh grapes or a sprig of mint. (Feel free to get creative with your decorations!)
