Ingredients
- Inari sushi kit (for 4 servings)
- 1 Cheongyang pepper
- 4 imitation crab sticks
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp mustard sauce
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Today, I’ll show you how to make special and delicious Cheongyang Pepper Inari Sushi, a step up from the ordinary! It’s sure to impress everyone when served at parties or on special occasions!
Step 2
First, tear the imitation crab sticks into pieces about two finger joints long. Tearing them into manageable, bite-sized pieces will give you a better texture. Finely chop the Cheongyang pepper. If you like it extra spicy, you can leave the seeds in. Measure out your mayonnaise and mustard sauce, and have the seasoning packets (vinegar seasoning and flakes) from the inari sushi kit ready.
Step 3
If there’s any liquid from the inari pockets in your kit, reserve about 1-2 tablespoons. Adding a little of this liquid to the rice will enhance the inari flavor and umami, making it even tastier. Now, in the prepared rice, add the seasoning from the inari sushi kit and the reserved inari liquid. Gently mix it all together with a spatula or spoon, being careful not to mash the rice grains, until evenly combined.
Step 4
Once the rice is well-mixed with the seasoning, it’s time to fill the inari pockets. Carefully open each inari pocket from the kit and fill it with a moderate amount of the seasoned rice. Don’t overfill, as it might burst; filling them about 80-90% full while maintaining their shape is recommended.
Step 5
Now for the highlight of the Cheongyang Pepper Inari Sushi! In a separate bowl, gently mix the torn crab sticks, chopped Cheongyang pepper, mayonnaise, and mustard sauce. The key is to mix them softly so the sauce evenly coats the crab and pepper. Carefully spoon this mixture on top of the rice-filled inari pockets. And just like that, your Spicy Cheongyang Pepper Inari Sushi is complete!
Step 6
Isn’t it simple? The combination of the spicy kick from the Cheongyang peppers, the tender crab, and the creamy mayonnaise is simply delightful. These Cheongyang Pepper Inari Sushi rolls are perfect as a snack for kids, a satisfying meal, or an impressive dish for your guests. Make your special day even more festive with these delicious rolls!
