  • Milk 210g
  • Bread flour 300g
  • Salt 5g
  • Sugar 15g
  • Instant dry yeast 4-5g
  • Butter 20g

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Begin by pouring the liquid ingredient, 210g of milk, into the bread maker’s inner pan. Using room temperature milk, rather than cold, will help the dough develop better.

Step 2

Next, sift 300g of bread flour into the pan. Sifting the flour helps to create a smoother dough without any lumps.

Step 3

Now, add the salt (5g), sugar (15g), and instant dry yeast (4-5g) in their respective amounts. It’s important to place these in different corners of the pan so they don’t touch each other directly. This prevents interference with yeast activation.

Step 4

Securely place the inner pan into the bread maker unit. Then, select the ‘Bread (Wheat)’ course from the menu. For the crust setting, choose between ‘Standard’, ‘Light’, or ‘Dark’ according to your preference. Today, since I want to tear into the bread, I’ve chosen ‘Light’ for a slightly crisp exterior and a wonderfully soft interior.

Step 5

Once the dough has started to come together (usually after about 10-15 minutes), open the lid and add the 20g of butter. Adding butter at this stage will make the dough even softer and enhance the flavor. After adding the butter, close the lid and let the bread maker continue its cycle.

Step 6

When the bread making cycle is nearing completion and the bread is almost done, you’ll hear a ‘beep’ sound. This typically occurs about 20 minutes before the cycle ends and signals that your bread is ready. Immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely. Tearing into it while it’s still warm is an absolute treat!
