  • Parmesan cheese powder, 1 Tbsp
  • Garlic powder, 1 Tbsp
  • Parsley flakes, a pinch

Seasoning and Other Ingredients
  • Cooking oil, 1 Tbsp
  • Butter, 2 Tbsp
  • Salt, to taste

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Cut the pre-boiled and prepared taro into bite-sized halves. Using pre-cooked taro will significantly shorten your cooking time, making the process more convenient.

Step 2

Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil and 2 Tbsp of butter in a pan over medium-low heat until the butter is melted. Add the prepared taro pieces to the pan and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the surfaces are lightly golden brown. The butter will infuse into the taro, creating a richer, nuttier flavor.

Step 3

Season with a pinch of salt while the taro is roasting. The subtle sweetness of the taro, the richness of the butter, and the saltiness will create a well-balanced flavor. Feel free to adjust the salt to your preference.

Step 4

Once the taro is tender inside and lightly browned on the outside, turn off the heat. Sprinkle generously with 1 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese powder, 1 Tbsp of garlic powder, and a pinch of parsley flakes for a fragrant finish. Your delicious Taro Butter Roast is ready to be enjoyed! It’s best served warm.
