  • About 7 Korean perilla leaves (깻잎)
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • A small bunch of chives

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all your ingredients before you start cooking. It’s a great idea to do a taste test at home beforehand. I’ll also share tips for simplifying ingredient preparation so you can cook right away at your vacation home.

Step 2

First, prepare the vegetables. Slice the onion into 0.5-1 cm thick squares. Cut the chives into bite-sized pieces, about 3-4 cm long. Slice the green onion diagonally into about 5 cm lengths.

Step 3

When slicing vegetables, you can get away with just bringing lettuce and other wrap-ready greens if you’re at a vacation home. However, if you want to enjoy a richer and more flavorful meal at home, I recommend slicing and stir-frying these additional vegetables. Adding more vegetables will provide a more diverse texture.

Step 4

Pre-marinated duck bulgogi from the store is already seasoned perfectly, so you don’t need to add any extra seasoning; it’s delicious as is. When taking it to a vacation home, simply bring along your favorite wrap greens. You don’t even need to prepare extra garlic or ssamjang separately; just wrap it up with fresh greens for a fantastic meal.
