On busy days, whip up a nutritious and savory egg soy sauce rice bowl in just 5 minutes! It’s simple but tastes amazing.

Main Ingredients

  • 2 fresh eggs
  • 2.5 bowls of warm rice
  • A small amount of chopped green onion (adjust to taste)

Seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • A pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Generously coat a pan with cooking oil and heat over medium-high heat. Crack 2 eggs into the pan and lightly break the yolks to scramble them. Cook until about 2/3 done; overcooking will prevent it from mixing well with the rice.

Add 2.5 bowls of warm rice directly onto the semi-scrambled eggs. Gently break apart the rice grains with a spatula as you mix them with the eggs.

Add 2 Tbsp of soy sauce and the chopped green onions. Stir well with the spatula until all ingredients are evenly combined. Turn off the heat. Finally, drizzle in 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil for aroma and mix once more.

Pack the prepared rice tightly into a rice bowl, then invert it onto a plate to create a nice shape. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for a final touch. Your savory and delicious egg soy sauce rice bowl is complete! It’s also great simply mixed together.
