Main Ingredients
  • 200g pink sausage (Luncheon meat style)
  • 1 stalk of scallion
  • 4 eggs

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, check and prepare all the ingredients you’ll need. Finely mince 200g of pink sausage. Mincing it very finely will help it blend well with the egg mixture and create a pleasant texture in the pancake.

Step 2

Next, finely chop the stalk of scallion. You can use both the white and green parts to maximize the fresh onion flavor. Ensure the pieces are small so they cook evenly within the pancake.

Step 3

Combine the finely minced pink sausage and chopped scallions in a large bowl. These are the stars that will give your pancake its savory flavor and delightful texture.

Step 4

Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to the bowl. The garlic will add a wonderful aromatic depth to the sausage and scallion mixture.

Step 5

Crack 4 eggs into the bowl with the other ingredients. The eggs will bind everything together beautifully.

Step 6

Using chopsticks or a whisk, mix all the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly. It’s important to ensure that the sausage, scallions, garlic, and eggs are well combined without any large clumps.

Step 7

Continue stirring until you have a smooth, uniform batter. Ensure there are no pockets of unmixed ingredients. Your mixture is ready to be cooked!

Step 8

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. If you don’t use enough oil, the pancakes might stick or burn. Feel free to add more oil as you start cooking if needed.

Step 9

Using a spoon, scoop portions of the batter and drop them into the hot pan to form small, round pancakes, similar to ‘donggeurang ttaeng’. Cook over medium heat, allowing each side to turn a beautiful golden brown. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side, ensuring the inside is cooked through.

Step 10

Once both sides are perfectly golden and cooked, carefully transfer the sausage and egg pancakes to a serving plate. Enjoy them warm for the best flavor and texture!
