Make a creamy risotto using instant brown rice! This recipe is easy to make and results in a restaurant-quality risotto with a wonderfully satisfying texture.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Instant Brown Rice
- 2 Button Mushrooms
- 1 Shiitake Mushroom
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/4 Onion
- 15g Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 slice Processed Cheese
- 100ml Milk
- 100ml Heavy Cream
- 2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
- A pinch of Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the mushrooms and vegetables that will add flavor to your risotto. Wash the button mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms thoroughly and slice them thinly. Mince or thinly slice the garlic, and thinly slice the onion.
Step 2
For a smooth and creamy sauce, combine 100ml of milk and 100ml of heavy cream in a bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the garlic first and sauté until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic; cook it gently until it turns golden brown.
Step 4
Once the garlic is golden brown and aromatic, add the sliced button mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and onion to the pan. Sauté everything together. The vegetables will release their moisture, adding a delicious depth of flavor. Season lightly with salt for enhanced taste.
Step 5
When the onions become translucent and the mushrooms are tender, pour the pre-mixed milk and heavy cream mixture into the frying pan. Stir continuously over medium-low heat as the sauce thickens.
Step 6
As the sauce begins to thicken, add 1 slice of processed cheese and stir until it melts smoothly. Next, add the entire pack of instant brown rice directly into the pan and stir it into the sauce while simmering. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper at this stage to further enhance the flavor.
Step 7
Once the rice is well combined with the sauce and reaches a creamy consistency, turn off the heat. Finally, add 15g of grated Parmesan cheese and stir gently using the residual heat until well incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning by adding more grated cheese or a pinch of salt if needed.
Step 8
Transfer the finished mushroom cream brown rice risotto to a serving bowl. Garnish with fresh baby greens or microgreens and a sprinkle of extra grated cheese for a visually appealing and even more flavorful dish.
