Nutritious Pollock and Chives Baby Food
Pollock and Chives Baby Food for Brain Development
For my child, who is a bit behind in weight and height compared to peers and dislikes meat, I’ve created this nutritious baby food using fish. Pollock is rich in protein and DHA, beneficial for brain development, while chives help with blood clotting, sodium excretion, warming the body, and boosting immunity, making them essential for your baby’s growth. Its mild and delicate flavor will be easily accepted by your little one.
Ingredients
- 80g Prepared Pollock Fillet
- 30g Fresh Chives
- 50g Egg (approx. 1 egg)
- 100g Soaked Rice
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, finely chop all the ingredients for the baby food. It’s easier to chop the pollock fillet when it’s still frozen; this prevents it from falling apart. Mince the chives as finely as possible so your baby can eat them easily.
Step 2
Soak the rice in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand. In a pot, add plenty of anchovy broth and the soaked rice. Simmer for about 20 minutes until the rice is soft and fully cooked. Once the rice is cooked, add the prepared pollock fillet and cook together.
Step 3
When the pollock starts to cook (after about 5 minutes), add the minced chives and simmer for a little longer. Finally, whisk and add the egg. Turn off the heat immediately after adding the egg to maintain a soft, curd-like texture.
Step 4
Optionally, you can add a tiny amount of perilla oil or pepper to taste. However, for baby food, it’s important to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, so it’s recommended to use very little or omit them. Let the finished baby food cool to a temperature suitable for your baby before serving.
