Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the mango. Carefully remove the pit using a knife. Then, cut the mango into your desired bite-sized pieces, such as 1.5cm cubes. The sweetness of the mango is key to the salad’s flavor, so using a ripe and sweet mango is recommended.
Step 2
Now, let’s prepare the avocado. Cut the avocado in half lengthwise, carefully remove the pit (you can gently twist a knife into it and lift, or scoop it out with a spoon). Peel the avocado and cut it into similar bite-sized pieces as the mango, like 1.5cm cubes. A helpful tip: you can cut the avocado into cubes while it’s still in the peel, then scoop them out to prevent the flesh from mashing.
Step 3
Peel the grapefruit, removing the thick outer skin. Then, carefully cut the grapefruit segments into small cubes, about 2mm in size. The grapefruit’s refreshing tartness balances the richness of the other ingredients.
Step 4
For the dressing, finely chop the 2g of cilantro. Make sure to wash and thoroughly dry the cilantro before chopping to get a nice, clean mince. This herb will add a wonderful aromatic note to your dressing.
Step 5
Now, let’s make the delicious vinaigrette dressing. In a clean glass bowl, combine the avocado oil, sweet honey, fresh lime juice, and a pinch of salt to your liking. If you don’t have lime, lemon juice can be used as a substitute.
Step 6
Add the finely chopped cilantro (2g) to the dressing ingredients in the bowl. Whisk everything together gently with a whisk or fork until well combined, creating your perfect vinaigrette. The blend of cilantro and lime will result in a truly flavorful dressing.
Step 7
Once all the components are ready, it’s time to assemble the salad. On a nice serving plate or in a salad bowl, artfully arrange the prepared mango and avocado. Then, dollop or gently squeeze the ricotta cheese over the top, adding a creamy element.
Step 8
Step 9
Finally, evenly sprinkle the cubed grapefruit over the salad. Drizzle the prepared vinaigrette dressing generously across the top. Garnish with the remaining fresh cilantro leaves (1g) for a beautiful presentation. Your stunning Mango Avocado Salad, highlighting the natural flavors of its fresh ingredients, is now ready to be enjoyed!
