Sandwich Ingredients
  • 4 slices of bread (choose your favorite kind)
  • 4 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 2 large lettuce leaves (washed and dried thoroughly)
  • 1/2 fresh tomato (thinly sliced)
  • 2 fresh eggs
  • 1 Tbsp butter (unsalted, for rich flavor)
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil (for frying eggs and bacon)
  • 1 tsp salt (for seasoning)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp of cooking oil. Fry the eggs to your liking, seasoning with 1/2 tsp of salt. For the bacon, no extra oil is needed as it will render its own fat. Cook until crispy. Place the cooked bacon on a paper towel to drain excess grease for a lighter taste.

Step 2

Toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a dry pan until lightly golden brown and slightly crisp. A toasted bread provides a better texture to the sandwich.

Step 3

While the bread is still warm, generously spread 1 Tbsp of butter evenly over one side of each slice. The butter will melt slightly, adding a wonderful richness and moisture to the bread.

Step 4

On the buttered side of two bread slices, arrange the washed and dried lettuce leaves. The crispiness of the lettuce adds a refreshing crunch to every bite.

Step 5

Layer the thinly sliced tomato (about 1/4 of the tomato) over the lettuce. The fresh, slightly acidic flavor of the tomato cuts through the richness of the other ingredients.

Step 6

Top the tomatoes with the crispy cooked bacon slices and the fried eggs. Place the remaining buttered bread slice on top to complete the sandwich stack.

Step 7

To keep the sandwich together, secure it by inserting a skewer or toothpick through the center. Then, carefully slice the sandwich in half using a sharp knife. Enjoy your delicious, homemade sandwich!
