Ingredients
  • 1/2 bowl cooked rice
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1/2 block firm tofu, pressed to remove water
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 packet sushi vinegar seasoning (or seasoned rice vinegar)
  • Fresh sashimi or your favorite vegetables (to your preference)
  • A little soy sauce
  • A little wasabi

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the egg. Whisk 2 eggs and cook them into a thin omelet. Once cooled, slice it thinly into bite-sized strips.

Step 2

Thinly slice the mushrooms and blanch them in boiling water for a very short time. Be careful not to overcook them, or they will become mushy.

Step 3

Now, let’s make the seasoning for the sushi rice. In a bowl, combine 1/2 bowl of cooked rice, the drained tuna, and the pressed tofu. Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.

Step 4

Add 1 packet of sushi vinegar seasoning (or seasoned rice vinegar) to the mixture. Gently mix everything together until well combined, ensuring the rice grains don’t break.

Step 5

Shape the seasoned rice into small, bite-sized balls or your desired size.

Step 6

Lay out a piece of plastic wrap or a sushi mat. Place two slices of fresh salmon sashimi (or your chosen fish) overlapping slightly, and add a tiny dab of wasabi on top.

Step 7

Place a rice ball on top of the sashimi. Using the plastic wrap, carefully shape and mold it into a round ball, ensuring the fish and rice adhere well. Tighten the wrap to secure the shape.

Step 8

For added flavor and visual appeal, you can top your sushi balls with blanched mushrooms, sliced egg omelet, avocado, or other favorite vegetables. The photo shows a combination of tuna, salmon, mushrooms, avocado, and egg.

Step 9

Congratulations! Your hearty and healthy diet sushi balls are ready. Enjoy this nutritious meal!
