Ingredients
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 slice of cheese (e.g., cheddar)

Seasoning & Oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, crack 3 large eggs. Add 1/4 tsp of salt and whisk gently until well combined. Don’t overbeat; just ensure the yolks and whites are incorporated. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat 2 tbsp of cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat. Swirl the pan to coat the bottom evenly with oil. Once the oil is warm, pour the whisked egg mixture into the pan, spreading it thinly. Tilt the pan to ensure the egg covers the entire surface.

Step 3

When the egg is about 60% cooked and still slightly moist on top, place 1 slice of cheese on one half of the omelet. Carefully fold the other half over the cheese. Then, fold it in half again to create a rolled shape. Continue to cook on low heat until the cheese is melted and the omelet is fully cooked.

Step 4

Gently transfer the finished rolled omelet to a plate. Let it cool slightly for a few minutes; this makes it easier to slice cleanly.
