  • Cooking : Stir-fry

  • Cooking Time : Within 15 minutes
  • Difficulty : Beginner

Key Ingredients

  • 1 packet of ramen (any brand you like is fine)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of curry powder (adjust to your desired consistency and flavor)
  • 1 can of tuna (small size, you can use the oil if you prefer)
  • 4 Korean fish cakes (donggeurangttaeng, store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 dumplings (frozen or store-bought, steamed or pan-fried work)
  • A handful of rice cake slices (tteokguk tteok, about 50g, for chewy texture)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, pour slightly less water than recommended on the ramen package into a pot and dissolve the curry powder. Stir with chopsticks or a whisk to ensure there are no clumps. This step is crucial for infusing the ramen broth with the curry’s rich flavor.

Step 2

Once the curry broth starts to boil, add the drained tuna, donggeurangttaeng, dumplings, and rice cake slices. Adding the tuna with a little bit of its oil can enhance the umami. Let it simmer for a bit so the ingredients can meld and develop a deep flavor.

Step 3

When the ingredients are cooked and the broth has reduced to a thicker consistency, add the ramen noodles. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the noodles are done, then let it simmer briefly to allow the rich curry sauce to coat the noodles perfectly. This makes it incredibly delicious!
