  • 1 block firm tofu (approx. 300g)
  • 1/2 Cheongyang chili pepper (or adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 stalk green onion

Pat the tofu block dry with paper towels. Cut it into bite-sized pieces, about 2cm thick. This helps the tofu absorb the sauce evenly and prevents it from breaking apart.

Finely chop the Cheongyang chili pepper and green onion. If you prefer more heat, feel free to add an extra chili pepper.

Arrange the sliced tofu neatly in a pot or a deep pan. Handle the tofu gently to avoid crumbling.
