Main Ingredients
  • 1 block firm tofu (approx. 300g)
  • 1/2 Cheongyang chili pepper (or adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 stalk green onion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Pat the tofu block dry with paper towels. Cut it into bite-sized pieces, about 2cm thick. This helps the tofu absorb the sauce evenly and prevents it from breaking apart.

Step 2

Finely chop the Cheongyang chili pepper and green onion. If you prefer more heat, feel free to add an extra chili pepper.

Step 3

Arrange the sliced tofu neatly in a pot or a deep pan. Handle the tofu gently to avoid crumbling.

Step 4

Sprinkle the red pepper flakes, minced garlic, soy sauce, sugar, and perilla oil evenly over the tofu to create the seasoning. You can also mix these ingredients separately to make a sauce if you prefer.
