Zesty Homemade Lemon Sorbet
How to Make Refreshing Lemon Sorbet | Lemon Dessert Recipe | Healthy Summer Treat | Using Stevia | Fresh Lemons
Hello everyone, it’s Superpower! Today, I’ve made a delightful lemon sorbet. Instead of using bottled lemon juice, we’ll juice fresh lemons, mix them with hot water and a suitable amount of sweetener, and then freeze it. While it requires some patience as it freezes, the resulting tangy and fresh flavor from real lemons is incredibly rewarding, especially if you love lemon! Let’s get started on how to make this wonderful lemon sorbet.
Ingredients- 2 fresh lemons
- 100ml hot water
- 50g stevia (or 100g granulated sugar)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the two washed lemons in half.
Step 2
Using a juicer, extract the juice from the lemon halves.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine 100ml of hot water with 50g of stevia (or 100g of sugar). Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Pour the freshly squeezed lemon juice into the dissolved sweetener mixture and stir well to combine.
Step 5
Transfer the lemon mixture to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1 to 2 hours, until it starts to set.
Step 6
After 1-2 hours, remove the container from the freezer. Use a fork to scrape and mix the frozen mixture, breaking up any ice crystals. Do this once or twice.
Step 7
Return the sorbet to the freezer for another hour. Once it has refrozen slightly, take it out again and give it another good stir with the fork.
Step 8
Continue this process of freezing and stirring every hour for a total of 2-3 hours, until the sorbet reaches a smooth, scoopable consistency.
Step 9
Once the sorbet is ready, scoop out the desired amount into serving bowls.
Step 10
Garnish your lemon sorbet with thin lemon slices or fresh lemon segments for a beautiful presentation and an extra burst of lemon flavor! Enjoy your homemade treat!
