Warm Ginger Latte Using Aromatic Homemade Ginger Syrup

Warm Ginger Latte Using Aromatic Homemade Ginger Syrup

Enjoy a Home Cafe Experience: Aromatic and Healthy Ginger Latte Recipe

I recently made a delicious ginger latte using the sweet and fragrant homemade ginger syrup I prepared a few days ago. While it’s wonderful as a warm ginger tea, adding creamy milk to create a ginger latte enhances its flavor immensely. The weather, which was sweltering until yesterday, feels quite chilly today, and this is the perfect time to warm yourself up with a cup of ginger latte. Packed with health benefits and delightful taste, I highly recommend trying this ginger latte recipe! ^^

Basic Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk (180ml)
  • 30ml homemade ginger syrup
  • A little milk foam
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

To create a warm and aromatic ginger latte, gather your ingredients: homemade ginger syrup, fresh milk, finely ground cinnamon powder, and a cinnamon stick for added fragrance. If you have a cinnamon stick, gently place it on top of the latte for a charming garnish, reminiscent of a fancy cafe creation. A sprinkle of cinnamon powder will enhance the aroma, but feel free to omit it if you’re not a fan of cinnamon’s flavor.

Step 2

Begin by pouring 180ml of cold milk into your favorite mug. Place the mug in the microwave and heat it until it’s warm. It’s important not to overheat the milk; aim for a comfortable drinking temperature.

Step 3

Add 30ml of your homemade ginger syrup to the warmed milk. You can adjust the amount of syrup to your preference. If you enjoy a sweeter taste, add a little more, or if you prefer a subtler ginger flavor, use less. For 180ml of milk, 30ml of syrup provides a nicely balanced sweetness with a pleasant ginger kick.

Step 4

Now, let’s create some creamy milk foam. Take about 100ml of milk separately and heat it in the microwave for approximately 1 minute. Once heated, use a hand blender or a milk frother to whip the milk until it’s frothy and has a generous amount of foam. If you’re preparing ginger lattes for guests, a thick layer of foam will make them look especially elegant and inviting.

Step 5

Carefully spoon the frothy milk foam generously over the top of the latte. Gently pile the foam onto the drink to create a beautifully presented ginger latte.

Step 6

Finally, use a fine-mesh sieve to gently dust cinnamon powder over the foam. Gently tap or shake the sieve to evenly distribute the powder, adding a lovely aroma and a visually appealing finish to your creation.
