Fresh Salad Ingredients- 12 green grapes
- 12 small strawberries
- 1 persimmon
- 1 handful blueberries
- 4 Tbsp canned corn
- 1/4 small napa cabbage (round variety)
Nutty Sesame Dressing- 3 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp black sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 pinch salt
- 5 Tbsp water
- 3 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp black sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 pinch salt
- 5 Tbsp water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all your fresh salad ingredients. Wash the green grapes and strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry. Peel the persimmon, remove the core, and dice it into bite-sized cubes. Wash the napa cabbage, remove excess water, and chop it into pieces suitable for the salad bowl. Drain the canned corn. Set everything aside.
Step 2
Dice the prepared green grapes, strawberries, and persimmon into approximately 1.5 cm (about 0.6 inch) cubes. Chop the napa cabbage into similarly sized or bite-sized pieces. Leave the blueberries whole. Ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready for assembly.
Step 3
To make the delicious nutty sesame dressing, combine the sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, honey, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and water in a blender or a bowl. Blend until smooth, or whisk vigorously until well combined. If the dressing tastes too tart for your preference, feel free to add a little more sugar or honey to achieve your desired balance. Taste and adjust as needed!
Step 4
Start assembling your salad. Spread the chopped napa cabbage evenly across the bottom of a large salad bowl. Artfully arrange the diced green grapes, strawberries, persimmon, blueberries, and drained corn on top of the cabbage. Aim for a visually appealing arrangement, perhaps by grouping colors together or creating a vibrant pattern, reminiscent of a rainbow.
Step 5
Your beautiful Cobb salad is almost ready! Serve the dressing in a separate small bowl on the side for guests to add as they please, or drizzle it generously over the salad just before serving. Enjoy this nutritious and incredibly fresh Cobb salad, a perfect addition to any meal or a healthy and satisfying lunch option!
