Made these canapés for guests who came over, as a beer snack and also as a treat for the kids! Alongside some crispy fried dumplings and sweet pea mash, these canapés are a delightful addition. They’re perfect for entertaining or as a fun, easy snack.

Main Ingredients

  • 4 small packs of Ivy biscuits
  • 1 pack of sliced ham
  • 6 slices of cheese
  • A few cherry tomatoes
  • A little strawberry jam
  • A little mustard sauce
  • A little fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cucumber

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, lightly pan-fry the sliced ham until it’s slightly golden. This enhances its flavor. Once cooked, cut each slice into four equal pieces for easy topping.

Next, prepare the cheese slices. Cut each cheese slice into four equal pieces, similar in size to the ham pieces. Having all your components prepped makes assembly much quicker.

Step 3

Now, let’s prepare the fresh vegetable toppings. Wash the cucumber thoroughly, pat it dry, and then slice it thinly. Finely chop the fresh parsley leaves to add color and aroma. Halve the cherry tomatoes after removing their stems.

Step 4

It’s time to assemble your canapés! Start by spreading a thin layer of strawberry jam onto each Ivy biscuit. Then, place a slice of cheese on top of the jam. Follow with a piece of the pan-fried ham. Drizzle a little mustard sauce over the ham. Finally, arrange your prepared toppings – the cucumber slices, chopped parsley, and cherry tomato halves – in an appealing way.
