Cooking Instructions

Step 1

[Cooking Perfect Ramen] Add 450ml of water to the ramen pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the ramen and soup base, and give it an ‘air shower’ by splashing some of the hot water over the noodles. This helps make the ramen chewier and more delicious. (Tip: Refer to the ramen package for the recommended water amount, but feel free to adjust to your preference.)

Step 1

Step 2

[Protein Boost! Boiled Eggs] Add 300ml of water and a pinch of salt to the ramen pot, then carefully place the eggs inside. Boil for 12 minutes until perfectly cooked. Boiled eggs are a great start to a healthy diet! (Tip: Rinsing the boiled eggs under cold water immediately after cooking makes them easier to peel.)

Step 2

Step 3

[Simple Congee for Upset Stomachs] When your stomach feels off due to cold weather or a sudden upset, quickly make some congee. Add 200ml of water, 1 bowl of rice, and some finely chopped vegetables (use up any leftover veggies in your fridge!) to the ramen pot. Stir and cook until it becomes a smooth, warm porridge to soothe your stomach. (Tip: A little sesame oil adds a lovely nutty flavor.)

Step 3

Step 4

[Steamed Eggs (Gyeran Jjim)] Add 100ml of water to the ramen pot. Place a heatproof bowl containing your steamed egg mixture (eggs, water or broth, salt, green onions, etc.) inside the pot. Cover and steam over indirect heat (using the ramen pot) for about 15-20 minutes until set. This creates a tender and moist steamed egg dish. (Tip: You can also use a steaming insert directly in the ramen pot if you have one.)

Step 4

Step 5

[Healthy Diet Snack! Steamed Sweet Potato & Pumpkin] Add 100ml of water to the ramen pot. Place chunks of sweet potato and pumpkin on a steaming rack above the water. Cover and steam for 10-15 minutes until tender and sweet. These make excellent healthy snacks or diet meals! (Tip: Adjust steaming time based on the size of your pieces.)

Step 5

Step 6

[Delicious Tteokbokki] Add tteokbokki rice cakes, your favorite sauce, fish cakes (eomuk), and enough water to the ramen pot. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the rice cakes are soft and have absorbed the sauce. Enjoy your delicious tteokbokki! (Tip: Cooking tteokbokki in the ramen pot allows the sauce to penetrate evenly, making it extra tasty. It’s okay to forget about the diet for a little while!)
