Main Ingredients- 100g cooked rice (warm)
- 1 Tbsp canned corn (drained)
- 1 Tbsp canned tuna (drained)
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 Tbsp soy sauce (low sodium recommended for kids)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Maintaining medium heat is best for cooking.
Step 2
Crack 1 egg into the heated pan. Gently stir with chopsticks or a spatula to create scrambled eggs. Aim for a soft, moist texture that’s easy for children to eat.
Step 3
Add 1 Tbsp of drained canned tuna and 1 Tbsp of drained canned corn to the pan. Stir-fry together for about 1 minute, until the tuna and corn are lightly cooked.
Step 4
Add 100g of warm cooked rice to the pan and mix well with the other ingredients. Use your spatula to gently break up any clumps of rice as you stir-fry.
Step 5
Pour in about 0.5 Tbsp of soy sauce. Low-sodium soy sauce is recommended for children to keep the saltiness in check. If using regular soy sauce, use even less.
Step 6
Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the soy sauce to evenly coat the rice and ingredients. This will help meld the flavors beautifully.
Step 7
Transfer the finished fried rice to a nice bowl. Your simple and delicious tuna and corn fried rice for kids is now ready! Let it cool slightly before serving to your child.
