Main Ingredients

  • 1 Sausage
  • 4 Cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/2 Bell pepper
  • 5-7 Cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 Cheongyang chili pepper (optional, for added spice)
  • A little Olive oil
  • 1 Pack Tofu noodles (approx. 200g)

Rosé Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 Small jar store-bought pasta sauce (tomato-based, approx. 200-250g)
  • 1/3 Cup Heavy cream (approx. 80ml)
  • A pinch of Black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all your fresh ingredients. Wash the vegetables thoroughly and pat them dry. Have your sausage and other items ready for cooking.

Step 1

Step 2

Chop the bell pepper and onion into bite-sized pieces, about 2cm cubes, so they mix well with the pasta. Thinly slice the peeled garlic or mince it if you prefer. If using, remove the seeds from the Cheongyang chili pepper and mince it finely for an extra kick. This enhances the overall flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Remove the stems from the cherry tomatoes and cut them into quarters. Slice the sausage in half lengthwise, then into half-moon shapes. The type of sausage you use can influence the flavor, so choose your favorite.

Step 3

Step 4

Drain the tofu noodles from their packaging and rinse them gently under cold running water. This step helps remove any subtle bean odor, ensuring a cleaner taste. Make sure to drain them well.

Step 4

Step 5

Heat a moderate amount of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it’s golden brown and fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Once the garlic aroma is released, add the chopped onion, sausage, and cherry tomatoes. Sauté together until the vegetables begin to soften slightly.

Step 5

Step 6

Continue to sauté for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors of the ingredients to meld together beautifully.

Step 6

Step 7

Pour the entire small jar of store-bought pasta sauce into the pan. Bring it to a simmer over medium-high heat. Once it starts bubbling, reduce the heat to medium-low and slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently to create a smooth rosé sauce. Let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Step 7

Step 8

Add the prepared bell pepper to the sauce and bring it back to a simmer. Then, add the drained tofu noodles to the pan. Gently toss everything together to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce. Cook for about 1 minute more. Season with a pinch of black pepper. Your delicious and creamy Tofu Noodle Rosé Pasta is ready to be enjoyed!
