Grilling pork belly at home often means dealing with smoke and lingering odors. Now, you can enjoy delicious pork belly without any worries thanks to the air fryer! This recipe makes it incredibly simple to cook juicy and flavorful pork belly right in your kitchen.

  • 1/2 Onion
  • 2 servings Pork Belly (approx. 300-400g)

Line the bottom of your air fryer basket with parchment paper. Thinly slice half an onion and spread it evenly on top of the parchment paper. (Grilling the onion alongside the pork belly helps reduce odor, adds flavor, and keeps the pork moist, making it even more delicious!)

Prepare 2 servings of fresh pork belly (approximately 300-400g). The photo shows herb-infused pork belly, but regular pork belly works perfectly fine depending on your preference.

Arrange the prepared pork belly evenly over the sliced onions in the air fryer, ensuring the pieces do not overlap too much. If your pork belly is thick, you can layer it slightly.

If you are not using herb-infused pork belly, lightly sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper over the pork belly slices. If you have fresh herbs like rosemary, placing them on top will infuse a wonderful aroma, making your grilled pork belly extra special. Feel free to use other spices you enjoy.

Set the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and cook for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, flip the pork belly over. Flipping ensures both sides cook evenly, resulting in a crispier and more delicious finish.

Continue to cook at 180°C (350°F) for an additional 3 minutes. Your delicious pork belly is now ready to enjoy! Serve it with fresh lettuce wraps and your favorite side dishes for a delightful meal.
