  • Occasion : Everyday

  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 15 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Key Ingredients

  • 100g warm cooked rice (prepared for baby)
  • 50g fresh ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 Tbsp baby soy sauce (or low-sodium soy sauce with minimal seasoning)
  • A pinch of sesame seeds (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, carefully check and prepare all the ingredients to make a safe and delicious fried rice for your child. It’s especially important to gently press the ground pork with paper towels to remove excess blood, which will result in a cleaner, milder flavor. Now, heat a frying pan over medium heat and add about 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.

Step 1

Step 2

Add the ground pork (with blood removed) to the heated pan. Cook over high heat on the stovetop, stirring frequently to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. It’s crucial to break up the meat as it cooks to avoid clumps.

Step 2

Step 3

Once the ground pork starts to turn white and cook through, gently push it to one side of the pan. Crack the egg into the empty space and scramble it using chopsticks or a spatula. Cook until it forms soft curds, ensuring it’s not too large for your baby to eat.

Step 3

Step 4

When the scrambled egg is softly cooked, mix it thoroughly with the ground pork that was pushed aside. Now, add 100g of warm cooked rice to the pan. If the rice is clumpy, break up the clusters and mix them with the pork and egg.

Step 4

Step 5

Drizzle 1 tablespoon of baby soy sauce directly over the rice. If you don’t have baby soy sauce, you can use a very small amount of low-sodium soy sauce or omit it and adjust the flavor with other ingredients. Mix well to ensure the soy sauce evenly coats the rice grains.

Step 5

Step 6

Now, reduce the stovetop heat to low. Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined and the delicious ground pork fried rice is complete. Finally, you can sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds for added nutty flavor, if desired. Let it cool to a warm temperature that’s safe for your baby and enjoy!
