  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 zucchini
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 mushroom

Special Steak Sauce

  • 1/2 cup steak sauce (approx. 100ml)
  • 1/2 cup water (approx. 100ml)
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp oligo syrup (or honey)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion

Cooking Instructions

Let’s start by making a delicious steak sauce. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup (about 100ml) of steak sauce and 2 tablespoons of ketchup.

Next, add 1 tablespoon of oligo syrup (or honey) for sweetness, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic for aroma, and 2 tablespoons of minced onion for a deeper flavor. Pour in 1/2 cup (about 100ml) of water to adjust consistency. Whisk everything together until well combined to create the sauce.

Prepare the vegetables. Slice the zucchini and mushroom into bite-sized pieces, about 1/4 inch thick. Thinly slice the 1/4 onion.

Now, prepare the chicken breasts. Make shallow diagonal cuts across both sides of the chicken breasts. These cuts help the sauce penetrate and flavor the meat evenly. If your chicken breast is unseasoned, sprinkle it lightly with salt and pepper at this stage for enhanced taste.

Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced zucchini and mushrooms and sauté until golden brown on both sides. Lightly sprinkle with salt while cooking to season them subtly.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer, turning the chicken occasionally, until it’s cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
