Tender Chicken Breast and Seaweed Soup
How to Make Delicious Chicken Breast and Seaweed Soup
Chicken breast seaweed soup is also recommended as a diet food! Let me introduce you to a truly delicious chicken breast seaweed soup. This soup offers a wonderfully light and satisfying meal, perfect for health-conscious individuals.
Ingredients- 20g Dried Seaweed (cut)
- 300g Chicken Breast
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1800ml Water (or 1L for a richer broth)
- 2 Tbsp Soup Soy Sauce
- A pinch of Salt
- 1/2 tsp Chicken Powder (optional)
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, soak the dried, cut seaweed in cold water for about 10 minutes until it becomes soft and pliable. Once rehydrated, drain the seaweed thoroughly and cut it into bite-sized pieces if necessary.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken breast under running water to remove any residual blood. Pat it dry with paper towels. Place the chicken breast in a pot, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of soup soy sauce, and mix well to marinate. This step helps tenderize the chicken and enhance its flavor.
Step 3
Add the marinated chicken breast and the rehydrated seaweed to the pot. Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Stir-fry over medium-low heat until the chicken and seaweed are well combined and fragrant. Stir-frying brings out a wonderful nutty aroma.
Step 4
For a better texture, it’s best to shred the chicken breast. If you’re using a whole chicken breast, shred it finely along the grain after it’s partially cooked or before adding liquid. Once the chicken is somewhat cooked, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of soup soy sauce and pour in 1800ml of water. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat. (For a more concentrated and smaller portion, you can reduce the water to about 1000ml and adjust seasoning to your taste.)
Step 5
As the soup comes to a rolling boil and the seaweed softens, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of chicken powder to deepen the flavor. (Chicken powder is optional, but it adds a delicious depth to the broth.) Let it simmer for another minute or two to allow all the flavors to meld together.
Step 6
Your delicious chicken breast seaweed soup is ready! Serve hot, perhaps with a bowl of rice. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed. Enjoy your healthy and flavorful meal!
