Tender Braised Pork Ribs in Soy Sauce
Easy and Delicious Soy Sauce Braised Pork Ribs Recipe – Perfect for Baby’s Special Meal!
I made braised pork ribs at home again after a long time. Since my second child also needs to eat, I made the soy sauce seasoning very mild, but meat is delicious just by cooking it well, right? Even with a mild seasoning, it was truly delicious. This recipe is perfect for a special occasion or as a special meal for your baby.
Pork Ribs Stew Ingredients- Pork ribs 500g
- 1 stalk of green onion
- 1/2 onion
- 1/4 carrot
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, we’ll prepare the pork ribs by removing any excess blood. Place the 500g of pork ribs in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let them soak for about 30 minutes. The sugar helps to draw out the blood, making the meat cleaner and more tender.
Step 2
After soaking, rinse the ribs under cold running water. Place the rinsed ribs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil and blanch for 10 minutes. This initial boiling step helps to remove any impurities and strong odors from the ribs, ensuring a cleaner taste.
Step 3
Drain the blanched ribs and rinse them thoroughly under cold water again. Return the clean ribs to the pot. Add enough water to cover the ribs. Now, add all the ingredients for the mild soy sauce marinade: 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp corn syrup, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir everything together to combine.
Step 4
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot with a lid, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. This simmering time will help tenderize the ribs beautifully.
Step 5
While the ribs are simmering, prepare the vegetables. Cut the green onion into large, chunky pieces (about 1-1.5 inches long). Slice half an onion and a quarter of a carrot into similarly large pieces. Cutting the vegetables large ensures they hold their shape during cooking and add a nice texture.
Step 6
After 20 minutes of simmering, add the prepared vegetables (green onion, onion, and carrot) to the pot with the ribs. Cover the pot again and continue to cook for another 10 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. The natural sweetness from the vegetables will infuse into the sauce, enhancing the overall flavor.
Step 7
Just before serving, turn off the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds for garnish. The nutty aroma of sesame oil and the delightful crunch of sesame seeds will complete this delicious braised pork ribs dish. Enjoy!
