Main Ingredients

  • 1 handful Beef Brisket (approx. 100g)
  • 1/4 Zucchini (medium size)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the zucchini thoroughly. Cut it in half, lightly scoop out the seeds, and slice it into bite-sized pieces about 0.5cm thick (half-moon or lengthwise). Avoid slicing too thinly, as it can become mushy during cooking.

Step 1

Step 2

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat without adding any oil. Add the beef brisket and cook until it’s browned. Since beef brisket has its own fat, you don’t need to add extra oil. Stir occasionally to prevent burning and cook until golden brown.

Step 2

Step 3

When the beef brisket is about 70-80% cooked and has rendered some fat, add the sliced zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry them together. It’s best to cook over medium heat at this stage to allow the ingredients to meld together, rather than using high heat from the start.

Step 3

Step 4

Zucchini cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it from the beginning. The residual heat from the pan and the fat from the brisket will cook it sufficiently. It’s most delicious when it retains a slight crispness. Adjust the cooking time to prevent it from becoming too soft and mushy.

Step 4

Step 5

At this point, add 1 tablespoon of Cham Sauce for an extra layer of umami. Cham Sauce significantly enhances the flavor of meat dishes and pairs wonderfully with brisket. (If you don’t have Cham Sauce, you can substitute it with soy sauce, but Cham Sauce will provide a richer flavor!)

Step 5

Step 6

Next, add 1/3 tablespoon of oyster sauce and stir-fry quickly to coat all the ingredients evenly with the sauce. Oyster sauce adds its unique flavor and savoriness, making the stir-fry even more delicious. Continue to cook for about 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are well-coated.

Step 6

Step 7

Finally, sprinkle some sesame seeds over the finished beef brisket and zucchini stir-fry for an added nutty aroma. This completes a delightful dish that’s perfect to enjoy with a warm bowl of rice for a satisfying meal!
