Key Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp brown rice oil (baby-grade)
  • 50g ground beef (lean cut recommended, e.g., eye of round, top round)
  • 100g zucchini

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Soak the ground beef in cold water for about 10 minutes to remove any excess blood. This helps to reduce any gamey smell and makes the beef more tender. (Using lean cuts like eye of round or top round will ensure a softer texture).

Step 2

Wash the zucchini (100g) thoroughly and cut it into long, bite-sized pieces. Aim for pieces that aren’t too thin, as they can become mushy if overcooked.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of baby-grade brown rice oil (or your preferred cooking oil) in a frying pan over medium heat on the stovetop. Be mindful not to let the heat get too high, as the ingredients can burn easily.

Step 4

Add the drained ground beef to the pan and stir-fry just until the exterior changes color and is no longer pink. It’s important not to overcook the beef at this stage, as it can become tough.

Step 5

Once the beef is partially cooked, add the prepared zucchini to the pan. Gently toss everything together to combine the beef and zucchini.

Step 6

Continue to cook over medium heat until the zucchini is tender. You’ll know it’s ready when the zucchini becomes slightly translucent and soft. The natural sweetness of the ingredients makes this dish flavorful without added seasonings. Let it cool slightly before serving to your baby.
