Main Ingredients

  • Fresh Green Grapes (as much as you like, prepare generously)

Syrup Ingredients (Seasoning)

  • Granulated Sugar (half to one-third the weight of green grapes, adjust to taste)
  • Fresh Lemon Juice 2 tsp (optional, but recommended!)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare your fresh green grapes. Place the grapes in a bowl and soak them in water for about 5 minutes to thoroughly wash away any pesticides or dirt. Then, rinse them under running water several times until completely clean.

Step 1

Step 2

After washing, drain the green grapes. Finely chop them using a knife or a food processor (chopper). Make sure to include all the juices released from the grapes; do not discard them. It’s okay if some small chunks remain.

Step 2

Step 3

To the chopped green grapes, add sugar. A good starting point is half to one-third of the grape’s weight, but feel free to adjust based on your sweetness preference. If you prefer it less sweet, begin with one-third.

Step 3

Step 4

Next, add 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice. While you can omit this, adding lemon juice enhances the green grapes’ tanginess and nicely balances the sweetness of the sugar, creating a more delicious and harmonious flavor.

Step 4

Step 5

Mix the green grape, sugar, and lemon juice mixture thoroughly with a spatula or spoon. Transfer the prepared green grape syrup into a clean glass jar or airtight container. Seal the lid and refrigerate to let it mature. Allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes up to 2 days for the flavors to deepen. You can try anything from a 30-minute chill to a two-day maturation.

Step 5

Step 6

Here’s the well-matured green grape syrup from the refrigerator. When you open the jar, you’ll be greeted by a sweet and fragrant aroma of green grapes.

Step 6

Step 7

Now it’s time to make your delicious green grape ade! Scoop your desired amount of the matured green grape syrup into a cup. About 2-3 tablespoons is usually a good starting point, depending on your preference.

Step 7

Step 8

Add the green grape syrup to your cup, then fill it generously with fresh ice cubes and chilled sparkling water or cider. Give it a good stir, and your refreshing green grape ade is ready to be enjoyed!
