  • 1/2 Apple
  • 10 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Finely Chopped Green Onion (white and green parts)
  • 4 Tbsp Cooking Wine (Cheongju or Mirin)
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 8 Tbsp Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Ginger Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Crushed Sesame Seeds
  • Pinch of Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare 1kg of fresh pork neck. Using a knife, score both sides of the pork neck with shallow cuts about 0.5cm apart. This helps the marinade penetrate better and makes the meat more tender.

For the marinade base, prepare half a ripe pear. Peel it, remove the core and seeds.

Peel one medium-sized onion and cut it into manageable pieces.
