Easy to make and incredibly delicious! These bacon rolls offer a delightful balance of savory bacon and sweet soy glaze, making them a fantastic option for packed lunches.
Main Ingredients- 8 strips bacon
- 1 bowl of rice (warm)
- A little cooking oil (for greasing the pan)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your warm rice. Take about a handful of rice and gently shape it into an oval using your palms. Be careful not to pack it too tightly.
Step 2
Lay out one strip of bacon. Place the shaped rice in the center and carefully roll the bacon around the rice, ensuring it’s snug. Pinch the end of the bacon to seal it.
Step 3
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Place the bacon-wrapped rice rolls in the pan. Cook, turning occasionally, until the bacon is golden brown and slightly crispy on all sides. Cooking over medium-low heat ensures the inside is heated through without burning the bacon.
Step 4
While the rolls are cooking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp oyster sauce, 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, and a pinch of black pepper until well combined. Once the bacon rolls are nicely browned, pour the prepared glaze over them. Let it simmer over low heat, allowing the glaze to thicken and coat the rolls, about 2-3 minutes. Stir or flip them gently to ensure even coating and prevent burning.
