Essential Ingredients- 30g soaked rice
- 20g kabocha squash
- 10g cabbage
- 300ml water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the kabocha squash in half and remove the seeds. Then, peel the skin thinly so it’s ready to be processed into a soft texture suitable for your baby.
Step 2
Wash the cabbage thoroughly. Blanch it in boiling water for about 30 seconds. This makes it easier for your baby to digest and removes any slightly bitter taste, enhancing the flavor.
Step 3
Place the prepared kabocha squash and blanched cabbage into a blender. Add a small amount of water (about 50ml) and blend until you achieve a smooth puree with no lumps. Ensure it’s very smooth for easy swallowing.
Step 4
Soak the rice in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand. Add a little water (about 50ml) to the soaked rice and blend until it’s very finely ground. It should be so smooth that your baby won’t feel any grains, making it comfortable to swallow.
Step 5
In a pot, combine the pumpkin and cabbage puree, and the finely ground rice. Pour in the remaining 300ml of water. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom. It’s ready when the puree thickens. Enjoy!
