Main Ingredients
  • 100g Almonds
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/3 Tbsp Cinnamon Powder

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine 100ml of water and 1 Tbsp of sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Step 2

Once the sugar water begins to boil, add 1/3 Tbsp of cinnamon powder and stir gently. (If you prefer a coffee flavor, you can add instant coffee powder at this stage instead.)

Step 3

Allow the mixture to simmer without stirring. As it boils, the sugar and cinnamon will naturally melt and form a syrup. Avoid stirring forcefully, as this can disrupt the syrup’s consistency.

Step 4

When the syrup thickens and becomes slightly sticky, add the prepared almonds. Ensure the syrup evenly coats all the almonds.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to medium-low. Using a silicone spatula, continuously stir the almonds. It’s crucial to mix them thoroughly to ensure the syrup coats every almond evenly and prevents clumping.

Step 6

Continue stirring as the syrup reduces and begins to coat the almonds like a powder. You’ll start to see a white, sugary coating forming.

Step 7

Once all the almonds are coated with the hardened syrup, creating a powdery finish, they are ready! Let them cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Enjoy your delicious homemade coffee almonds!
