  • 5 large sweet potatoes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the sweet potatoes for roasting! It’s best to choose larger sweet potatoes rather than small ones. This helps retain moisture during cooking, ensuring a tender and moist interior. We’ll also be making a sweet dessert with these, so select nice, sizable ones!

Step 2

Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Now for the golden ratio air fryer method! Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket and roast at 110℃ (230℉) for 20 minutes. Then, increase the temperature to 160℃ (320℉) and roast for 30 minutes. Flip the sweet potatoes and roast for another 30 minutes at 160℃. Finally, increase the temperature to 190℃ (375℉) and roast for a final 30 minutes. This process will result in wonderfully chewy roasted sweet potatoes with a moist, caramelized interior.

Step 3

Voilà! Your roasted sweet potatoes are ready. They should be perfectly golden brown on the outside, with a texture so tender that sweet, syrupy juices seem ready to burst out. While they’re delicious as is, let’s transform them into a special dessert!

Step 4

Carefully slice each roasted sweet potato in half lengthwise, stopping just before reaching the very ends. Place about 10g of unsalted butter on each half; the butter will melt and add a rich flavor. Generously top with your chosen cheese. Finally, spoon a dollop of sweet strawberry jam over the cheese. Your roasted sweet potato dessert is now complete!
