Ingredients- Brown sugar 40g (approx. 3.5 Tbsp)
- Water 80ml (approx. 5.5 Tbsp)
- Milk 100ml
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Instant coffee stick (mini size) 2 sticks
- Hot water 50ml (approx. 3.5 Tbsp)
- Heavy cream or whipping cream 150ml
- Sugar 1.5 Tbsp
- Salt 0.5 tsp – 1 tsp (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s make the brown sugar syrup easily at home. In a microwave-safe heatproof glass bowl, combine 40g of brown sugar and 80ml of water. Stir well. Microwave for about 5 to 6 minutes, or until the syrup thickens to your desired consistency. (Microwave times may vary depending on your appliance.) Once done, carefully remove from the microwave, let it cool slightly, and pour it into a clean jar or container. This will be used later for your latte!

Next, we’ll prepare the sweet and creamy topping. In one bowl, pour 150ml of cold heavy cream or whipping cream. Add 1.5 Tbsp of sugar and 0.5 to 1 tsp of salt (adjust the salt for a balanced sweet and salty flavor according to your preference). Place another bowl filled with ice cubes, and set the bowl with the cream on top of the ice. Using a whisk, whip the cream in one direction, as if making whipped cream. Aim for a consistency that is not too stiff; it should be pourable, with a smooth flow. This cream will be generously spooned on top of your latte.

Now, it’s time to assemble your latte! Grab a clear glass cup. Pour about 50ml of the prepared brown sugar syrup into the bottom of the cup. This syrup will form a beautiful brown layer at the base of your drink.
