Ingredients- 1 ripe banana
- 2 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 slices bread
- 1 slice cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare one ripe banana and slice it into bite-sized pieces. Slicing them about 1cm thick will give a nice texture.
Step 2
In a small frying pan or pot, combine 2 Tbsp of water and 2 Tbsp of sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is slightly thickened like syrup.
Step 3
Once the sugar syrup begins to simmer, add the sliced bananas. Gently mash them with a spatula while stirring to prevent sticking. Cook over low heat, stirring gently until it reduces to a sweet banana filling. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become mushy.
Step 4
Heat another frying pan over medium heat and melt 1 Tbsp of butter. Once the butter is melted, place the 2 slices of bread in the pan and toast them until golden brown on both sides. Toasting them until crispy makes them even more delicious.
Step 5
On one slice of the toasted bread, place a slice of cheese. The cheese will melt slightly, blending well with the other ingredients.
Step 6
Generously spread the prepared sweet banana filling over the cheese. The warm banana will help melt the cheese, creating a richer flavor.
Step 7
Finally, top with the other slice of bread. Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is slightly more toasted. Enjoy this fantastic combination of cheese and banana while it’s warm!
