Ingredients
- 6 Japanese sweet potatoes (band-goguma)
- 6 Korean sweet potatoes (hobak-goguma)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly wash the sweet potatoes, the star of our baked sweet potato dish. Make sure to remove all dirt and debris from the skin. Place the prepared sweet potatoes side-by-side in the air fryer basket. It’s good to leave some space between them so they don’t overlap too much. Set the air fryer temperature to 180°C (350°F) and cook for 10 minutes for preheating and the first stage of baking.
Step 2
After about 10 minutes, a delicious sweet potato baking aroma will start to waft from the air fryer. Just smelling it is enough to make your mouth water! The cooking time can vary depending on the size and thickness of the sweet potatoes, so it’s important to check their status intermittently. Generally, baking them at 180°C (350°F) for a total of about 25 minutes will result in a moist and sweet texture inside. The delicious smell throughout the baking process is quite enjoyable!
Step 3
Ta-da! Perfectly baked sweet potatoes, golden brown and ready to enjoy, are complete. The skin is slightly wrinkled and has an appetizing color, while the inside is a bright yellow and moist, truly mouthwatering. Taking a bite fills your mouth with sweetness and a soft texture – it’s simply the best!
Step 4
It really makes you think that sweet potatoes are indeed most delicious when baked like this. The temptation of warm and sweet baked sweet potatoes is hard to resist; I honestly don’t know how many I devoured in one sitting. And this is while I’m on a diet! (Laughs) They’re just too delicious to stop eating.
