Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the apples and brie cheese for the salad. Wash the apple, remove the core, and slice it into approximately 1.5cm thick pieces. Dice the brie cheese into similar sizes as the apple pieces.
Step 2
Melt 2 Tbsp of unsalted butter in a heated pan over medium-low heat. Be careful not to let the butter burn.
Step 3
Once the butter is melted, add the sliced apples to the pan. Cook them until golden brown on both sides, coating them in the butter. Cooking over medium-low heat rather than high heat will prevent the apples from becoming mushy and ensure they cook to a tender consistency.
Step 4
As the apple surface starts to turn golden, sprinkle some sugar over them. The sugar will caramelize, adding a sweet flavor. Then, dust with cinnamon powder to your liking, mixing evenly, and cook for another 1-2 minutes. The cinnamon aroma will beautifully blend with the apples, creating a wonderful scent.
Step 5
Arrange the thoroughly washed and dried baby greens attractively on a serving plate. Fresh greens form the base of your salad.
Step 6
Arrange the golden baked apples and chewy brie cheese alternately on top of the baby greens. The warm, baked ingredients complement the fresh greens perfectly.
Step 7
In a small bowl, combine the balsamic glaze (or sauce), olive oil, lemon juice, and oligosaccharide (or honey). Whisk or mix with a fork until all ingredients are well combined to create a delicious balsamic dressing. Adjust the sweetness to your preference.
Step 8
Finally, drizzle the prepared balsamic dressing evenly over the salad to complete your delicious Baked Apple and Brie Cheese Salad. It’s best to mix the dressing just before serving to prevent the ingredients from separating and to enjoy the freshest taste.
