Ingredients
- 10 chicken nuggets
- Crushed peanuts, to taste
Sauce
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s make the sweet and savory soy sauce. In a small bowl, combine 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 1 Tbsp sugar, 1 tsp minced garlic, and 1 Tbsp water. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. Your delicious sauce is ready!
Step 2
Now it’s time to cook the chicken nuggets. Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium heat and add the frozen chicken nuggets. Cook them until golden brown and crispy on both sides. (Tip: You can add the sauce directly at this stage and reduce it, but briefly removing the nuggets can help the sauce adhere better.)
Step 3
Once the chicken nuggets are golden brown, tilt the pan slightly and pour in the prepared soy sauce. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat slightly.
Step 4
Add the cooked chicken nuggets back to the pan. Quickly toss them with chopsticks or a spatula to coat evenly with the sauce. It’s important to stir quickly to prevent the sauce from burning or sticking.
Step 5
Finally, add the crushed peanuts to the pan. The peanuts add a wonderful nutty flavor and texture, making the dish even more delicious.
Step 6
Give it a final quick toss with the peanuts to combine. Your sweet and savory soy chicken is complete! It’s best enjoyed warm.
