Quick and Delicious Spam Mayo Bibimbap
A super easy, one-bowl meal! Enjoy the fantastic combination of Spam and creamy mayonnaise. This recipe is perfect for busy individuals or cooking beginners, taking only about 5 minutes to prepare. You can enjoy a satisfying and tasty meal without needing many special ingredients.
Main Ingredients- Spam, about half a can (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- Gimjaban (seasoned seaweed flakes), 2-3 Tbsp (adjust to taste)
- Pickled radish (danmuji), about 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
- Cooked rice, 1 bowl (warm)
- Furikake (rice seasoning), 1-2 Tbsp (choose according to preference)
- Sesame oil, 1 Tbsp
- Mayonnaise, to taste (drizzle as desired)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the Spam. Open the Spam can and cut it into bite-sized pieces (about 1cm thick). For a lighter taste, you can briefly blanch it in boiling water or pan-fry it until golden brown to remove excess fat.
Step 2
Rinse the pickled radish under running water, pat it dry, and then finely chop it. This chopped radish will add a crunchy texture and a sweet and sour flavor to your bibimbap.
Step 3
Place a bowl of warm cooked rice into a deep serving bowl. Artfully arrange the prepared Spam and finely chopped pickled radish on top of the rice.
Step 4
Drizzle 1 Tbsp of sesame oil over the rice to add a nutty aroma and rich flavor.

Now, add the gimjaban and furikake, which are key to the bibimbap’s flavor. Lightly crush the gimjaban with your hands before sprinkling it over the rice. Add furikake, adjusting the amount to your preference.
Step 6
Using a spoon, gently mix all the ingredients together with the rice until well combined. The key is to mix it smoothly without mashing the rice grains.
Step 7
Finally, drizzle mayonnaise over the bibimbap in a zigzag pattern according to your taste to complete the dish! If you desire an even richer flavor, consider adding a fried egg on top. Enjoy your delicious meal!
