Enjoying Silken Tofu the Easy Way: Making a Delicious Sauce Children Love
Here’s a super simple way to enjoy silken tofu that your child will absolutely love. It’s a quick and easy recipe that’s perfect for a side dish or a snack!
Ingredients- 1 block of silken tofu (choose a soft variety like sundubu or silken tofu)
- 0.5 Tbsp soy sauce (approx. 1 tsp)
- 0.5 Tbsp sesame oil (approx. 1 tsp)
- A pinch of sesame seeds (toasted and crushed, or use as is)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 1 block of silken tofu. The block in the photo is one block, but my child eats so well that we often prepare two blocks! Soft silken tofu is a wonderful snack or side dish for children.
Step 2
Carefully place the prepared silken tofu into a slightly deep bowl, like a rice bowl. Silken tofu is delicate and can break easily, so handle it gently. Now it’s time for the sauce. Drizzle 0.5 Tbsp of soy sauce (about 1 teaspoon) over the silken tofu. You can adjust the amount of soy sauce to your preference.
Step 3
Next, add 0.5 Tbsp of sesame oil (about 1 teaspoon) over the soy sauce to add a rich, nutty aroma. The subtle fragrance of sesame oil harmonizes wonderfully with the mild flavor of the silken tofu.
Step 4
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of toasted and crushed sesame seeds over the sauce on the silken tofu. The nutty crunch of the sesame seeds enhances the overall dish. This tofu dish is incredibly simple to make! It’s almost unbelievable how easy it is, yet children devour it with such delight.
Step 5
Now, use a spoon to gently scoop up the silken tofu and enjoy its delicious taste. The harmony between the soft tofu and the flavorful sauce will fill your mouth with happiness!
