Key Ingredients

  • 2 fresh eggs
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/8 sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 2 handfuls of sweet corn (adjust to taste)
  • 1 sausage, thinly sliced
  • 3 mushrooms, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp pizza or spaghetti sauce
  • 3 Tbsp mozzarella cheese
  • Pinch of black pepper for flavor
  • Pinch of salt for seasoning
  • Pinch of oregano for herby notes
  • A little butter for greasing

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the fresh vegetables for your pizza. Finely chop 1/8 of a sweet onion and 1/8 of a red bell pepper. Add about 2 handfuls of sweet corn; using plenty of corn will enhance the delightful popping texture and flavor. Feel free to adjust the amount to your preference.

Step 1

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the finely chopped vegetables, thinly sliced sausage, and crack in 2 fresh eggs. Get ready to mix all the ingredients together.

Step 2

Step 3

To ensure the egg crust becomes firm yet tender when cooked, add 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, a pinch of black pepper for added flavor, and a pinch of salt for seasoning. If you have some aromatic mushrooms, thinly slice and add them for an even richer taste.

Step 3

Step 4

Now, using a whisk or a spoon, mix all the prepared ingredients thoroughly until well combined. It’s important that the egg mixture is evenly blended with the other ingredients.

Step 4

Step 5

To prevent the egg dough from sticking to the bottom of the rice cooker and to ensure it releases easily, thoroughly grease the bottom of the pot with butter. This step will make removing the pizza much smoother later on.

Step 5

Step 6

Pour the well-mixed egg dough mixture into the buttered rice cooker pot and spread it out evenly to create a flat surface. If your rice cooker has a ‘fermentation bread’ or a similar setting, run it for 10 minutes. If not, you can use the steam function.

Step 6

Step 7

After 10 minutes, when you check the egg dough removed from the rice cooker, the surface might still appear slightly moist. This is perfectly normal, and it won’t be an issue as you will be adding sauce and cheese in the next steps.

Step 7

Step 8

Now it’s time to add the delicious toppings onto the egg crust. Spread 2 tablespoons of rich pizza or spaghetti sauce evenly over the surface. Generously sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese on top. Finally, add a pinch of aromatic oregano and a sprinkle of black pepper for an even more appealing finish.

Step 8

Step 9

Lastly, use your rice cooker’s ‘reheat’ or ‘cook’ function to cook for another 9 minutes. Once the cheese is beautifully melted and golden, and the inside is fully cooked, your delicious egg pizza is ready! Enjoy it immediately while it’s warm.
