- 3 Tbsp Canola Oil (or cooking oil)
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Wine (Mirin or Cheongju)
- 600ml Water
- Pinch of Black Pepper (optional)
- Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the vegetables that will add flavor to your curry. Rinse the canned corn thoroughly under running water and drain it well. Dice the onion, carrot, and potato into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for children. Cutting the potatoes small will reduce cooking time, making it more convenient.
Step 2
In a large frying pan, add all the prepared pork and vegetables. Pour in 3 tablespoons of canola oil (or cooking oil) and 1 tablespoon of cooking wine. Stir-fry over high heat until the vegetables and pork are lightly browned and cooked through. Once the pork is fully cooked, add 600ml of water. Once the water begins to boil, reduce the heat to medium.
Step 3
As the water starts to boil, evenly sprinkle 100g of the curry powder over the ingredients. It’s best to add it gradually while stirring to prevent lumps.
Step 4
After adding the curry powder, reduce the heat to low. Continuously stir slowly in a circular motion with a spatula or ladle, scraping the bottom of the pot to prevent sticking. In about 5-7 minutes, your thick and delicious curry will be ready. You can add a pinch of black pepper to taste. Serve over warm rice, and garnish with a boiled egg or sesame seeds for an even more delightful curry experience.
